Nuthouse Sports (formerly Coast Productions) is an American sports entertainment company founded by former New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman and Assaf Swissa. It produced the 2019 Showtime documentary 100% and produces the podcasts Games with Names and Dudes on Dudes with Gronk and Jules, the latter co-hosted by Edelman and Rob Gronkowski.[1][2]

History

[edit]

Edelman and Swissa launched Coast Productions, a Boston-based company, in June 2019 alongside the Showtime premiere of 100%.[2][3] Before the launch, the pair had made comedic YouTube videos featuring Edelman, including "Burger Tyme" and "Smoothie Tyme".[3]

In April 2021, Edelman and Swissa signed a multi-year overall deal with ViacomCBS under the Coast Productions banner, covering scripted and unscripted development across divisions including Paramount+, Nickelodeon and Showtime.[4]

In August 2022, the company launched Games with Names, a podcast co-hosted by Edelman and comedian Sam Morril and distributed by iHeartMedia.[5][6]

In October 2024, Coast Productions was renamed Nuthouse Sports. The company was spun out of Superdigital, the creative agency founded by Swissa. Gronkowski joined as a partner, and the company launched Dudes on Dudes with Gronk and Jules with iHeartPodcasts. Coverage of the launch named Swissa, Billy Griffin and head of creative Kyler Schelling as part of the company's team.[7][1][8]

In September 2025, Dunkin' staged a "Nuthouse" promotional activation with Gronkowski and Edelman at a Massachusetts mansion.[9]

In April 2026, Edelman filed a lawsuit against Swissa in Suffolk County Superior Court, seeking a share of the proceeds from the 2025 sale of Superdigital to Accenture.[10][11]
