Newton School of Technology (NST) is a private higher education institute in India providing undergraduate programs in computer science. Founded in 2023 by Incanus Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (Newton School), NST offers four-year residential programs in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
The institute operates in academic partnership with UGC-recognized private universities, including Rishihood University in Sonepat, Haryana, and Ajeenkya DY Patil University in Pune, Maharashtra, which formally confer the academic degrees upon graduation.
History
[edit]Newton School was established in 2019 by IIT Roorkee alumni Nishant Chandra and Siddharth Maheshwari as an edtech platform offering skill-based coding programs. In 2022, parent company Incanus Technologies raised $25 million in a Series B funding round led by Steadview Capital, with participation from Nexus Venture Partners and RTP Global.
In 2023, the organization expanded into residential undergraduate education by launching the Newton School of Technology in Sonepat, Haryana, followed by a Pune campus launch in 2024.
Academics
[edit]Newton School of Technology offers a four-year, full-time B.Tech program in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence. The curriculum focuses on industry standards, practical software engineering, including Python, Data Structures & Algorithms, and Artificial Intelligence.
Admissions
[edit]Admissions are conducted through the Newton Scholastic Aptitude Test (NSAT), an entrance test evaluating mathematical and logical reasoning, followed by an online interview process.
