NetFoundry is an American cybersecurity company based in Charlotte, North Carolina that develops zero trust networking technology for enterprises and software providers.[1]
History
[edit]NetFoundry operated as a self-funded company for approximately a decade before raising its first venture capital in 2025.[1] In April 2025, the company raised $12 million in a Series A funding round led by SYN Ventures, marking its first outside investment.[1] The round was later expanded to more than $15 million with the addition of Cisco Investments as a strategic investor, announced in November 2025.[2]

[edit]In March 2025, the company introduced an operational technology (OT) security platform aimed at protecting industrial and critical infrastructure environments, including support for on-premises and air-gapped deployments.[3] Industry analyst Rik Turner of Omdia noted that on-premises zero trust options are important for critical infrastructure operators who cannot rely solely on cloud-based security tools.[3][4]
Partnerships
[edit]In September 2025, NetFoundry and cybersecurity company Stellar Cyber announced a technology integration intended to give managed security service providers combined network and security operations visibility by feeding NetFoundry's identity-based session data into Stellar Cyber's security operations platform.[5]
