Haque completed a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from West Bengal University of Technology in Kolkata. He subsequently completed a Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) in Pharmacology and Toxicology at Jadavpur University in 2021.[1]

His name appears in the official Jadavpur University 2021 Special Convocation record for the Master of Pharmacy programme, where he is listed as receiving a first-class result and certificate number 2021491263.[2]

Career

Haque has worked in pharmacy education and pharmaceutical drug safety. A professional profile records employment as a Drug Safety Associate at Cognizant from 2017 to 2019 and at Bioclinica in 2020, followed by work as an APAC Safety Medical Information Specialist at Alphanumeric Systems on behalf of Johnson & Johnson from September 2021.[1]

He has also worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacology at Bihar College of Pharmacy in Patna.[3]

Research

Haque's research interests include pharmacology, phytochemistry, medicinal plants, toxicology and pharmaceutical research.

In 2022, he was listed as a co-author of the research paper Maize sheath blight disease and its biological control, with an affiliation to the Department of Pharmacology, Bihar College of Pharmacy, Patna.[4]

Haque has also participated in academic and scientific conferences. His name appears in the programme material for the 6th Convention of the Society for Ethnopharmacology, India, held in 2019, where he was affiliated with Jadavpur University, Kolkata.[5]

Research on Datura

One of Haque's stated research interests concerns the scientific investigation of Datura species, particularly Datura stramonium and Datura metel. His research programme has focused on analytical and phytochemical profiling, toxicological evaluation and the investigation of potential pharmacological activity, including anti-anxiety effects.

The proposed research uses preclinical pharmacological models including the Elevated Plus Maze, Light–Dark Box, Open Field Test and Hole-Board Test to investigate behavioural effects of Datura extracts.
