McCray Sutherlin is an American film producer, record label executive, and creative director. He is the founder of Muddy Water, an independent film studio, record label, and creative agency imprint based in Los Angeles and New York.[1]

A cross-border European co-production spanning Cyprus, Denmark, and Greece, it became the first Cypriot project to premiere at Sundance, capturing the Audience Award: World Cinema Dramatic.[3]
- The International Short Win: Concurrently, Sutherlin and Muddy Water served as executive producers on director Will Niava's Montreal-set short drama Jazz Infernal. Co-produced alongside Telescope Films and Scara-b, the film won the Short Film Jury Award: International Fiction.[4][5]

The label served as the global distributor, via their deal with Secretly Distribution, and primary label partner for New Delhi-based indie-pop and gypsy-jazz outfit Peter Cat Recording Co. for the release of their third studio album, BETA बेटा. Released in August 2024 through Secretly Distribution, the project marked Muddy Water's inaugural major album rollout, which was supported by an international headlining tour across North America, Europe, and India.[6][7]
