Draft:Mazdek AI

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

mazdek AI is a Kurdish-language artificial intelligence platform developed by mazdek GmbH, a company registered in Switzerland. It provides speech recognition, translation, speech synthesis, transcription, spell checking and grammar checking for the Kurmanji, Sorani and Zazaki varieties of Kurdish, which are written in both Latin and Arabic scripts, alongside support for other languages.[1][2]

Background

[edit]

Kurdish is spoken by millions of people but is under-represented in mainstream language technology. Kurdistan24 reported that major international systems offer limited Kurdish support, and that the platform was created to address that gap.[1]

Features

[edit]

The platform offers text and speech translation, transcription of audio and video, speech synthesis, optical text recognition for documents, and a spell and grammar checker for Kurdish. According to the company, its speech models were trained on approximately 220 terabytes of audio and its speech synthesis offers more than 1,200 voices.[2][1]

Availability

[edit]

mazdek AI is available as a web application and as mobile applications for iOS and Android.[3][4] Kurdistan24 reported that the platform had around 15,000 users within days of its launch.[1] In September 2026 it was listed in the connector directory for Claude and in the Model Context Protocol registry.[5]
