History

Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich announced details of the channel during an appearance on The Howard Stern Show, where he discussed the launch of the SiriusXM channel.[3]
The channel officially launched on SiriusXM in August 2025 and became a permanent channel featuring programming focused on Metallica's music and history.[4]
