MYCRANE is a technology company that operates an online platform for crane rental and equipment procurement, headquartered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.[1] The company was founded in 2021 by Andrei Geikalo.[2]

Background

[edit]

Crane procurement has traditionally relied on telephone-based sourcing, broker networks, and bilateral supplier relationships, with limited price transparency or supplier comparison tools available to contractors.[2] MYCRANE was established to digitise this process through a business-to-business platform connecting contractors with crane suppliers.[3]

Operations

[edit]

MYCRANE operates crane rental services in Saudi Arabia and India under the brand MYCRANE Rental.[4] The platform allows contractors to submit lifting requirements and receive proposals from verified crane suppliers. As of April 2026, the platform had over 1,000 registered members in India.[5]

MYCRANE Trading is a subsidiary that provides crane sales, leasing, and maintenance services, based in Jebel Ali Free Zone, Dubai. In August 2025, MYCRANE Trading raised US$50 million to fund its UAE operations.[6]

MYCRANE Marketplace is a global platform for buying and selling crane equipment. A beta version launched in October 2022.[7] An updated version launched in November 2024.[8]

Industry context

[edit]

In a May 2023 analysis, Cranes Today — the global lifting industry's longest-running trade publication — examined MYCRANE alongside broader trends in digital disruption in the construction sector, comparing its approach to procurement digitisation with that of companies such as Uber and Airbnb in their respective industries.[2]

A four-page feature in the May 2022 issue of Construction Machinery Middle East, titled "Rental Goes Digital", examined the digitisation of crane rental procurement and MYCRANE's role in the market.[3]

In September 2025, Khaleej Times included MYCRANE in a report on the UAE startup ecosystem, identifying it among companies contributing to the UAE's position as the MENA region's most diversified startup hub.[9]

History

[edit]

MYCRANE was founded in Dubai in 2021.[10] In 2023, the company secured funding for expansion into Saudi Arabia and the United States.[11] In 2025, MYCRANE received the Startup of the Year award at the Construction Technology Awards in Dubai.[12]
