Longlevens Rugby Club is a community rugby union club based in Longlevens, a suburb of Gloucester, Gloucestershire, England. The club fields multiple senior, junior, and inclusive teams and is affiliated with the Gloucestershire Rugby Football Union (GRFU).

The club currently plays in Regional 2 Severn at Level 6 of the RFU league structure and is affiliated with the Gloucestershire Rugby Football Union (GRFU)

History

The club was established in 1954 and has developed into a community-focused organisation fielding multiple senior, junior, and inclusive sides.[1]

Over the years, Longlevens RFC has competed across various regional leagues within the south-west of England. The club has also contributed to the development of local rugby through youth training programmes and community outreach initiatives.[2]

  • Senior men's 1st, 2nd, and 3rd XVs
  • Women's teams
  • Veterans (over-35s)
  • Mixed Ability team ("The Griffins")
  • Junior and mini rugby from Under-6s to Under-18s

Mixed Ability Rugby

Longlevens RFC operates a mixed‑ability rugby programme, allowing players with and without disabilities to compete together. In 2025, the club's mixed‑ability team won the Gold Cup at the International Mixed Ability Rugby Tournament, an event involving teams from several countries.[3]
