Kwame Payne (born 1957) is a chess player from Arima, Trinidad and Tobago. Kwame is a Trinidad and Tobago Chess Championship National Champion.^[1]

He has won numerous chess competitions locally and a number of competitions abroad.

He achieved his highest rating of 2200 maintaining his top ranking in Trinidad and Tobago at that time. Although his rating has dropped since then he participated professionally for years.

With a recorded 11 chess games of Kwame Payne and his most played openings being the Sicilian, Rossolimo Variation
