Kutesmart traces its origins to Redcollar Group, a garment manufacturer founded in Qingdao, China, in 1995. Initially focused on traditional suit production, the company began transforming its operations in the early 2000s by adopting digital technologies and customized manufacturing models.

In 2007, Qingdao Kutesmart Co., Ltd. was established to develop mass customization systems. By integrating data analytics, cloud computing, and automated production technologies, the company introduced a manufacturing model that enables personalized garments to be produced with the efficiency of mass production.[1]
