Draft:Katie Neal

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Katie Neal (born September 30, 1990) is an American country music radio personality and the host of Katie & Company, a nationally syndicated program distributed via Audacy's Infinity Network.[1] Broadcast to 32 radio stations across major U.S. markets including Chicago, Houston, Detroit, and Seattle, the show reaches an estimated 4 million weekly listeners.[2]

Early life and education

[edit]

Raised in Illinois, Neal attended Illinois State University.[2] While enrolled in a radio course, she joined the university's student-run station, WZND-FM.[2] She gained broadcasting experience on air and helped launched the station's morning show program.[2]

Career

[edit]

After graduating, Neal worked in professional radio broadcasting in Bloomington, Illinois, before relocating to New York.[2] Initially working as a radio sales account executive, she began taking on weekend on-air shifts in 2017 at New York City country station WNSH (94.7 NASH-FM), then owned by Cumulus Media.[2] The station was subsequently acquired by Entercom (later renamed Audacy) in February 2019.[3] Neal was named the station's full-time midday host in 2018.[2]

In 2020, Neal relocated to Nashville, Tennessee, when Audacy began nationally syndicating her show, Katie & Company.[2] The show is broadcast daily from Audacy's studio located within the Hard Rock Cafe in downtown Nashville.[4] The program features country music programming, celebrity interviews, and a daily artist co-hosting segment titled "The Superstar Power Hour."[1]

In 2024, Neal co-hosted the New Faces of Country Music Show at the Country Radio Seminar (CRS) in Nashville.[5]
