Jarret Tenebe (also spelled Jarrett Tenebe) is a Nigerian politician and sports administrator.[1] He serves as the Chairman of the Edo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Chairman of Bendel Insurance F.C., a club competing in the Nigeria Premier Football League.[2]
Political career
[edit]Tenebe began his political career in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo State.[3] He resigned from the PDP and defected to the All Progressives Congress in November 2019.[3]
In February 2024, following the departure of David Imuse, Tenebe assumed leadership of the Edo State APC as acting chairman.[4] He was subsequently re-elected as substantive Chairman at the party's state congress in Benin City in March 2026.[5]
Sports administration
[edit]On 25 June 2025, the Edo State Government appointed Tenebe as Chairman of the Board of Bendel Insurance F.C., succeeding former Deputy Governor Philip Shaibu.[2][6]
Education
[edit]Tenebe earned a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from Baze University, Abuja.[7]
