Jack Derek Kingdon (born 16 November 2005) is a professional footballer who plays as a Centre back for National League club Yeovil Town. Born in England, he's played for Scotland at youth level.

A product of the youth academy of Morecambe- having joined them at under-12 level,[3] Kingdon joined the academy of Manchester United in 2020.[4] He signed his first professional contract on 8 July 2024.[5]

In October 2022, Kingdon joined National League side Altrincham on loan and went onto make his only appearance for the club during a Cheshire Senior Cup match against Sandbach United on 11 October 2022; in which he became one of the youngest players ever to represent Alty in a first-team fixture.[6][7]

On 25 January 2025, Kingdon was loaned back to the National League as he joined Rochdale on loan for the rest of the season,[8][9] he went onto make 16 appearances for Dale during the duration of the loan deal.[10]

On 9 June 2025, Kingdon was released by Manchester United after almost five-years at Old Trafford.[11][12]

On 29 August 2025, Kingdon signed for EFL League One side Cardiff City; with him initially joining the U21s,[13] on 7 October 2025, he made his senior debut for The Bluebirds during an EFL Trophy group stage match against Newport County - coming on as a 64th minute substitute for Will Spiers; during the 1–0 defeat at the Cardiff City Stadium.[14][15] On 11 November 2025, Kingdon captained the side in the same competition as Cardiff City won 3–1 against Arsenal U21s ; with Kingdon playing the full 90 minutes.[16][17] He made one more appearance in the EFL Trophy for Cardiff, which came during a heavy 5–1 defeat against AFC Wimbledon in the Round of 32.[18][19] On 20 May 2026, the club confirmed that Kingdon would leave at the end of his contract.[20]

On 17 June 2026, Kingdon returned to the National League, agreeing to join Yeovil Town on an intial one-year deal.[21][22]

International career

Born in England, Kingdon was born to a Scottish father. He represented Scotland at U17, U18 and U19 level. He was first called up to the Scotland U20s for a friendly game against Slovakia in May 2025.[23]
