Indigo Marie Ford (born February 23, 1993), better known by her stage name BigKlit or Indigo Vanity is an American rapper, singer, and dancer from Pomona, California. She gained viral notability from her role in the jerk dance movement. Often labeled the “female jerk”, In 2009, she released her debut song "Rock Your World" to viral success.
Personal Life
[edit]In 2016, ford ran a webpage dedicated to freeing sex slaves and victims of human trafficking. The webpage also advocated for women’s rights.[1]
Ford gave birth to her first child in 2023. Ford was homeless at an unknown point in time before signing to Sony Music.[2]
Career
[edit]Ford began her music career under the name "Indigo Vanity”.[3] She initially rose to fame when she appeared in New Boyz music video “you’re a jerk”.[4] "Rock Your World" was released in late 2009, serving as her debut single. The track quickly became viral on YouTube. Tracks such as "Insecure" and "Girls are Stupid and Guys are Lame" followed after. Through 2009 to 2012, Ford would continue to release music under Indigo Vanity, releasing two albums, "I Own The Club" and "Category 5”.
Later in 2012 Ford would partner with song artist Miyagi and rebrand as just "Noir" and later "All Hail Noir".[5] In 2013, they released "Lady N The Tramp". They released their final album Bleed in August 2015 on iTunes.[6] Charlie Heat would remix the track “Afraid to Die” in December.[7] Noir’s final release would be "Anti Social" In January of 2016. They split later that month.
In 2018, ford would begin releasing music under her current name BigKlit.[8] She began working with producer Full Tac (Jared Soule) in 2018.[9] She released her track Liar in 2019 to Viral success,[10] gaining the attention of Sony Music whom she would sign with under the RECORDS label.[11] She released her first album under Sony Music in 2020, titled "Klitorious B.I.G.”[12] To moderate success. She was a nominee for XXL freshman in 2020.[13] Ford was set to headline the Doja Cat Hot Pink tour alongside Ashnikko.[14] The tour was cancelled due to the COVID 19 Virus.[15]
In 2025, ford released her latest album “No Water in Hell” independently. She performed at Sick New World in 2026 with Orgy.[16]
