[edit]- Proponents and local residents strongly welcome the line, noting it will significantly ease massive traffic congestion along the Hosur Road/NH-44 corridor and benefit tens of thousands of daily cross-border workers and students.[3]
- Transport experts and urban planners have suggested that a regional suburban rail or a dedicated special-purpose vehicle (SPV) might alternatively serve long-distance commuter traffic better than a standard metro extension, citing potential passenger capacity constraints on existing urban metro layouts.[4]
