Holiyal is a village in the Drass tehsil of Drass district in the Indian union territory of Ladakh. It falls under the Holiyal Gram Panchayat and the Drass Block Panchayat.[1][2][3][4]
Demographics
[edit]According to the 2011 census of India, Holiyal had 83 households and a population of 615, comprising 333 males and 282 females.[3][4] The village had a sex ratio of 847 females per 1,000 males. Children aged 0–6 years accounted for 132 residents. The Scheduled Tribe population was 610, while no Scheduled Caste population was recorded.[3]

The village had a sex ratio of 847 females per 1,000 males. Children aged 0–6 years accounted for approximately 21.5% of the total population. The Scheduled Tribe population accounted for approximately 99.2% of the village population. The literacy rate was 72.46%, with male literacy at 83.85% and female literacy at 59.19%.[3]
Of the 113 workers recorded in the 2011 Census, 60 were main workers and 53 were marginal workers. Among the main workers, 3 were cultivators, while no agricultural labourers were recorded.[3]
