Fredj Moussa is an artist[1] and filmmaker. He lives and works in Tunisia, making films, sculptures, and paintings[2][3].

Biography

He graduated from the École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs.[4] in Paris in 2018, and resided at the Cité internationale des arts[5] in Paris in 2019. He studied at Le Fresnoy - Studio national des arts contemporains[6] from 2021 to 2023.[7]

In 2024, he is a resident at Villa Médicis in Rome[8].

Fredj Moussa's works has been presented in exhibitions such as the Biennale de Berlin (Allemagne), Selebe Yoon galley[9][10][11] (Senegal), Loop Barcelona[12] (Spain), Le 32 Bis,[13][14] B7L9 Art Centre[15][16][17][18], La Boîte[19][20], Dream City, l'Art Rue,[21] Atelier Selma Feriani[22] (Tunisia), Beirut Art Center[23] (Lebanon), Tiger Strikes Asteroid,[24][25] à Philadelphie (United States), Izmir Mediterranean Biennial[26] (Turkey), l'Abbay de Jumiège,[27],[28] Panorama 24,[29],[30] Nuit Blanche,[31],[32],[33],[34],[35][36] 2023 Paris, Biennale Chroniques[37][38] 2026 (France), Cabane B[39](Switzerland), and Les Brasseurs in Liège (Belgium), among others[40]. His films such Solar Noon,[41][42][43][44](2022), have been selected at several international festivals, most recently Land of Barbar[45] at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF)[46][47]

He was a finalist for the Studio Collector prize at the Photo Days Festival at the MEP in Paris in 2022. Solar Noon receives the CIFRA prize at Loop Fair Barcelona in 2023.[49]

In 2025, Land of Barbar received the Award of the Best World Experimental Documentary Film at[50] (IDFF).
