FAB (Free Ad-blocking Browser)^[1]^[2] is a mobile browser developed based on the Chromium open-source project by Rocketshield Browser Technology Inc. The browser is primarily designed for the Android operating system and focuses on ad-blocking as its main feature, aiming to automatically block pop-up ads, banner ads, video ads, and various other forms of advertisements. It offers a free version for users.^[3]

FAB works by monitoring data requests and script executions during the web page loading process, essentially adding a filtering layer between the webpage and the ad servers. This allows it to block ads before they load, reducing the impact of ads and improving page loading speeds. The ad-blocking mechanism is based on multiple popular rule sets, such as those used by uBlock Origin and Brave browser, and combines techniques such as request blocking, DOM element cleaning, content security policy injection, and script-level interception to improve blocking effectiveness.^[3]
