As of 2025, the company reports that its products have been used by more than 250 million users worldwide.[1].

[edit]Texthelp Ltd was founded in 1996 in County Antrim, Northern Ireland, by Martin McKay. The company originated from McKay's interest in developing tools to support communication and accessibility, influenced by his father’s experience following a stroke[2].
