Comment: You still have not added any reliable sourcing to actually address the reasons why this has been rejected previously. It is not enough to just contextlessly list references in the references section; the body text of the article must be footnoted to the reference that supports it. Do not resubmit to the AFC review queue without addressing the sourcing, because the draft will not be accepted without proper sourcing. As well, do not file the draft in categories while it's still a draft, per WP:DRAFTNOCAT — categories may be enabled only if and when the draft gets accepted and moved by an AFC reviewer, and drafts are not allowed to preemptively sit in categories while they remain in draft form. Comment: Procedural decline, still multiple completely unreferenced sections. Please address before resubmitting MidnightMayhem (talk) 18:38, 13 July 2026 (UTC)
Comment: This person is possibly notable, but this draft has an enormous amount of uncited claims and needs more footnotes and in-text citations before it's ready for mainspace. MidnightMayhem (talk) 19:43, 12 July 2026 (UTC)
Eric Lee Harper (also credited as Eric Picotte-Harper; born 1977) is an American-born Canadian singer-songwriter, film composer, and guitarist based in Cowichan Bay, British Columbia. He is known for his fusion of flamenco and rock music and his extensive work in television and film scoring.
Education
[edit]Harper attended the Escola Profissional de Música do Porto in Portugal, earning a secondary diploma in classical guitar in 1997. He subsequently moved to Boston, Massachusetts, to study film scoring at the Berklee College of Music, graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Music degree in December 2000.[1]
Career
[edit]While studying in Boston, Harper was named a 1999 Yamaha Young Performing Artist.[2] He received an honorable mention in the 2001 John Lennon Songwriting Contest for his composition "Winter," was a finalist in the 2000 Morton Gould Competition, and won Tribe of Noise's Guitar Mania Contest in 2014.[1]
Harper's first solo album, Romper a Madrugada, was released in 2008, followed by his self-titled album Eric Harper in 2010, which drew attention from actor Rainn Wilson and producer KC Porter, and the instrumental album Ribeira in 2013.[1] The 2010 album received a positive review from the Georgia Straight, where critic John Lucas described Harper as "one hell of a guitarist" with "jaw-droppingly fluid nylon-string runs."[3]
Harper has composed music for thousands of television episodes.[4] His earlier film work includes Waiting Alone (2005) and Inseparable (2011), starring Kevin Spacey.[5][6] In 2017, he co-scored the feature film Wished alongside Nathan Wang and Rob Cairns; in a review for Sino-Cinema, critic Derek Elley described the film's "noisy poppy/song score".[6] The film won Best Score at the February 2018 New York Film Awards.[7]
Harper contributed music to Create Together, a collaborative HitRecord digital series created with Joseph Gordon-Levitt that won the 2020 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Innovation in Interactive Programming.[8][9][10]
Harper tours internationally and performs across Canada, including showcase performances at the Port Theatre in Nanaimo, British Columbia,[11][10] and a multi-stop tour through Saskatchewan that included a standing ovation in Kamsack.[12]
