The Entertainment Football Association (ENTFLA) is an upcoming arena football league in the United States. The league launched in 2025 with four teams playing seven-on-seven football with live entertainment.

History
[edit]The league was founded by Douglas Freeman with Andre Reed serving as commisoner.[1][2] On April 4, 2024, the Danbury Diesel were announced as the league's first team.[3] On June 13, a second team was announced to play in Morristown, New Jersey. On October 24, through a logo reveal, the team's identity was announced as the New Jersey Ciphers.[4][5] On January 25, 2025 the schedule was released, and the Fitchburg Heroes joined the team.[6][7] On February 21, a revival of the New York Dragons was announced an would play at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum.[8] On May 20, it was revealed that the New York Dragons would partner with regional network MSG Networks to broadcast their games.[9][10] On June 3, instead of playing a full season like proposed, it was announced that the league's season would operate as a round-robin tournament and would play on July 26.[11] The season never played and was thought to be a scam league[12], then on November 3, the ENTFLA announced a "Golden Tryout" series for the 2026 season, shifting the start of the league to the spring or summer of 2026.[13]
Rules
[edit]Because the league is from the same ownership as The Arena League, the league's rules are the same as TAL, with no tackling, no punting, and a specialized "throw-off". Rosters are limited to eighteen players and teams play on a turf hockey-sized field half the size of a traditional football field. The game is seven-on-seven having the game's core focuses being on passing and rushing, a one-platoon Ironmen system is used, and uses rebound nets.[14]
