Dimitris Maris (Greek: Δημήτρης Μάρης) is a Greek businessman and entrepreneur. He is the co-founder and a shareholder of Kaizen Gaming, the parent company of the Betano and formerly Stoiximan sports betting brands, and the founder and chairman of the digital media company 24Media, a digital media publisher in Greece.[1]

Career

[edit]24Media was founded by Maris in 2006.[2][3][4]
In 2014, the Huffington Post launched in Greece in collaboration with 24Media.[5][6]
In March 2016, Maris announced his intention to take over Mega Channel, Greece's first and oldest private television network at the time.[7] Maris had indicated support for the rescue initiative put forwards by Theocharis Filippopoulos. The plan was not implemented.[8]
In June 2017, Maris announced plans to expand 24Media into the publishing field.[9] In the same month, 24 Media took absolute control over the management of Sport24 radio station.[10]
In September 2017, 24Media relaunched Ethnos.[11] Maris managed the newspaper's publishing until 2018.[4]
Between 2015 and 2019, Maris was president of the Hellenic Association of Internet.[3]
In September 2025, Euroleague Basketball secured coverage in Greece after signing a broadcast partnership with Sport24.[12]
Kaizen Gaming
[edit]In 2012, Maris co-founded TCB Holdings, an online sports betting operator, alongside George Daskalakis. The company launched its first brand, Stoiximan, in Greece and Cyprus.[13] In 2016, Betano launched as its international arm.[14]
In September 2018, OPAP acquired a 36.75% stake in Stoiximan.[15] By April 2020, OPAP's stake in Stoiximan had expanded to 84.49% before completing its full acquisition in July 2025.[16][17]
In July 2020, it was announced that TCB Holdings would be rebranded as Kaizen Gaming.[18] The company reached a $10 billion valuation in 2026.[19]
Deep Capital Group
[edit]In May 2018, Maris announced 24Media's participation in Marathon Venture Capital, a seed stage fund. Maris also joined the fund's advisory committee.[20]
Deep Capital Ground is an investment platform founded by Maris. In October 2025, Deep Capital Group led a funding round raising €2.8 million for cybersecurity start up, Mind The Hack.[21]
In December 2025, it was reported that Deep Capital Group had invested an undisclosed figure into Superbo AI, an agentic AI company.[22]
Eteron
[edit]In 2022, Maris founded the non-profit organisation Eteron – Institute for Research and Social Change.[23]
In Greece, Eteron has conducted surveys into public opinion on same-sex marriage and research into the country's housing market.[24][25]
