Dimchev pursued postgraduate studies in Marketing at King's College London, where he completed a master's degree.[12][11]
Career
[edit]Online career
[edit]Dimchev created The Boxing Antelope YouTube channel in 2017 while still attending secondary school.[7][11] According to Forbes Bulgaria. During this period he taught himself aspects of filming and video editing through practice and online tutorials. He also worked as a wedding video editor, which gave him additional experience with post-production software.[7][11]
In 2018, Dimchev completed an internship at influencer-marketing agency TalentMedia. The experience contributed to his interest in the commercial and analytical aspects of digital media and marketing.[7]
His online work subsequently expanded from entertainment and challenge videos into scripted web productions. His projects have included the web series Kurvava Luna (Blood Moon), Proklyatieto (The Curse) and the horror series Kletvata (The Oath).[11][12]
Forbes Bulgaria reported in 2026 that the most-viewed episode of one of Dimchev's web series had accumulated more than two million views and that his combined social-media following exceeded 1.7 million.[7]
Horror and scripted productions
[edit]In October 2020, Dimchev began experimenting more extensively with horror-themed scripted videos. According to Forbes Bulgaria, the first episode of one such project reached approximately 500,000 views within a week. This led him to expand the concept into a full season.[7]
The first season was produced by a small team and on a limited budget. Later seasons attracted sponsors and expanded casts, allowing Dimchev to increase their production scale.[7]
He later created Kletvata (The Oath), described in Bulgarian media as a horror web series. Dimchev worked on the production as a producer, director, screenwriter and actor.[12] Three episodes were also screened together as a short-film presentation at the Cinema House in Sofia.[12]
Music
[edit]Dimchev has also released music as a recording artist. His songs include Vrazkata prekasna (The Connection Was Lost), Pisna mi, Safari and Alarma.[11][12]
By 2025, 24 Chasa reported that several of his music videos had accumulated millions of YouTube views, including Vrazkata prekasna, Pisna mi and Safari.[11]
In 2026, Forbes Bulgaria reported that Dimchev was also developing a music label "LabelA" and working on music for both himself and other performers.[7]
Writing
[edit]Dimchev made his literary debut with the fantasy novel The Heir: Games of Blood and Glory (Bulgarian: Наследникът. Игри на кръв и слава), co-written with Yanitsa Mihaylova.[13]
The novel follows 18-year-old Victor Mordem, who is drawn into a secret aristocratic vampire society and forced to participate in a series of trials.[13][8]
The project originated from an idea developed by Dimchev and Mihaylova after earlier work on online fantasy and horror productions.[11] The pair developed the story collaboratively, planning chapters together and reviewing each other's writing.[11]
By July 2026, the Bulgarian News Agency reported that the novel had sold more than 10,000 copies.[8]
The Heir
[edit]Dimchev subsequently adapted the novel into the feature-length fantasy thriller The Heir (Наследникът). The film marked his feature directorial debut.[8]
Dimchev served as director and producer, co-wrote the screenplay with Yanitsa Mihaylova and portrayed the protagonist, Victor Mordem.[14]
The cast includes Bulgarian actors Bashar Rahal, Yoana Bukovska, Assen Blatechki, Kalin Vrachanski, Kitodar Todorov and Sevar Ivanov, as well as Dimchev, Mihaylova and other performers.[8]
The film combines fantasy, thriller and gothic elements and centres on Victor, an 18-year-old who discovers his connection to an isolated vampire order governed by aristocratic families and ritualised competition.[8]
The Heir was released theatrically in Bulgaria on 11 September 2026.[8]
During its opening weekend, the film topped the Bulgarian cinema admissions chart. The Bulgarian News Agency reported on 15 September 2026 that approximately one in four Bulgarian cinema admissions during the weekend was for The Heir.[15]
Literary recognition
[edit]In May 2026, The Heir (Наследникът), won the Maystori category of the Bulgarian national children's book award Biserche Valshebno (Magic Pearl). The category is intended for readers aged 14 to 16. Young readers voted among 11 shortlisted titles, with The Heir placing first.[16] NOVA also reported that more than 10,000 children participated across the award's categories that year and identified The Heir as the winning title for teenage readers.[17]
Business ventures
[edit]In addition to his entertainment career, Dimchev has worked in marketing and entrepreneurship.[7]
In 2024, he co-founded Lava Bear, a Bulgarian fast-moving consumer goods company, together with three other digital creators.[7] The company initially developed beverages before expanding into other food and consumer products.[7]
Forbes Bulgaria reported that the founders spent approximately eight months developing the original beverages and initially agreed to reinvest company profits into the growth of the brand.[7]
Dimchev and his Lava Bear co-founders Andrey Bozhkov, Daniel Bozhkov and Yoan-Peter Krastev were included in the Business Owners category of the 2025 Forbes Bulgaria 30 Under 30 list.[9]
Recognition
[edit]In 2025, Dimchev was ranked fifth in Forbes Bulgaria's annual Top 30 Creators ranking.[10]
The publication subsequently published an extensive profile of his career in March 2026, covering his development from online video creation into filmmaking, publishing, entrepreneurship and music.[7]
