Darshan Kumar K (born 17 April 1985) is an Indian businessman. He is the chairman and managing director of Planotech group of companies which include Planotech Events & Marketing (OPC) Pvt Ltd, Planotech Media House, Planotech Services FZCO, Planotech Canada and Quantum Paradigm which is an IT SaaS company. Planotech Events & Marketing has achieved major milestones including delivering successful events, executing high-profile corporate leadership conferences for PwC and Ramky Estates and partnering with Sri Jayadeva Institute for major medical summits.[1][2][3]
Early life
[edit]Darshan Kumar previously worked at Hostindia events and marketing pvt ltd as an AGM-EVENTS. Darshan Kumar K. attended Seshadripuram First Grade College (S.F.G.C) in Bengaluru pursuing electrical engineering before joining Hostindia in 2015. Earlier in his career, he also volunteered with Step in Services from around 2004, where he worked as a test administrator conducting examinations across various locations.[2][3][4]
Career and business ventures
[edit]Through Planotech Events & Marketing, the company has executed events across corporate, medical and technology sectors, including leadership conferences, brand events and product launches.
Clients and notable event partnerships have included organizations such as PwC, Ramky Estates, Biocon Academy, NASSCOM, the Indian Society of Systems for Science and Engineering (ISSE) and the Biesse Group. Specific events managed or supported include the Agentic Conclave, the Aortic Repair & Ross Summit, the Biocon Academy Graduation Day, LHIF - The AI Edge, and the NASSCOM Agentic AI Confluence.
Beyond event management, operations under the Planotech group branding expanded into digital marketing, media production, AV solutions and IT offerings through Quantum Paradigm.[1][5]
Personal life
[edit]Darshan Kumar is also a director of the D Viswa Karunasagara Dharma Foundation, a non-profit organization involved in community welfare, educational initiatives and social programs. In addition to his business activities, Darshan Kumar has been actively involved in community and social service initiatives. Since 2000, he has served as a regular blood donor volunteer with Lions Clubs International.[3]
