Cottondale High School is a public school in Cottondale, Florida. It is overseen by the Jackson County School Board.

Cottondale High School is at 2680 Levy Street in Cottondale. It received an A rating in 2025.[2]

As of 2025 it had about 229 students in grades 9-12. It is categorized as distant rural. Almost 75 percent of the students are white and a quarter black and hispanic. Test scores are above the state average in reading and math.[3]

Hornets are the school's mascot.[4]

Three students from the school have been appointed to West Point.[5]

Seventh and eighth graders from Alford School were transferred to Cottondale.[6]

In 2023 a double amputee played on the school's baseball team.[7] Cam Odom was a three-sport star athlete at the achool.[8] Tramond Collins has been a star athlete at the school.[9]

A former principal was accused of having an inappropriate relationship woth a student.[10]
