Comment: You can't use social media to source on Wikipedia. See WP:NPLACE - what you need in terms of sourcing is some official confirmation of the village's status. For example a census output listing the village's population. Database extracts won't work here. ChrysGalley (talk) 10:15, 14 May 2026 (UTC)

Charchall is a village located within the boundaries of the Akre District in the Duhok Governorate of the Kurdistan Region in Iraq.[1]
Etymology
[edit]The name of the village is derived from "Mount Charchall," which is located on the border between Iraq and Turkey. This mountain holds special symbolic significance for the Harki tribe, as it was historically their primary summer resort and grazing land for livestock.
History
[edit]The village was founded in 2018 by Arshad Abdulaziz Harki as a new settlement. Currently, Zeravan Arshad Abdulaziz serves as the Mukhtar (village head) and manages the administrative affairs of the village.[2]
Geography and Livelihood
[edit]The village is situated in a plain area near the Akre mountain range. Its population is estimated to be between 20 and 50 people. The primary source of livelihood for the residents is agriculture and livestock farming (sheep and goats).
