Comment: The draft mentions another likely non-notable company, Leesa, which surprisingly enough is the subject of twice-deleted Draft:Leesa Sleep RoySmith (talk) 20:52, 28 January 2026 (UTC)

Brooklyn Bedding is an American mattress manufacturer, wholesaler, retailer, and direct-to-consumer distributor of sleep products headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona. The company was founded in 1995 by brothers John and Rob Merwin.[1]
Brooklyn Bedding operates a 650,000 square-foot manufacturing facility in Glendale, Arizona, where its mattresses are designed and assembled.[2]
In 2021, Brooklyn Bedding was acquired by Cerberus Capital Management and was merged together with Helix Sleep.[3]
History
[edit]Brooklyn Bedding was founded in 1995 by entrepreneurs John Merwin and Rob Merwin. The company initially operated as a liquidation business, purchasing and reselling mattresses at discounted prices. The pair eventually started purchasing scrap materials and creating their own mattresses.[4]
Brooklyn Bedding began selling mattresses online after John Merwin imported a roll-pack machine to the United States in 2008. The success of the bed-in-a-box concept led to the launch of Brooklyn Bedding's e-commerce website, BrooklynBedding.com.[5]
Brooklyn Bedding is named after Merwin's daughter, Brooklyn, and is unrelated to the New York City borough.[6]
Acquisition
[edit]In 2021, Cerberus Capital Management acquired Brooklyn Bedding and merged it with Helix Sleep, forming the foundation of 3Z Brands. Since then, 3Z Brands has expanded its portfolio to include direct-to-consumer mattress brands Bear, Nolah, and Leesa.[7][8][9]
Products
[edit]In 2017, Brooklyn Bedding launched the Aurora Luxe and Signature Hybrid mattresses.[10] In 2024, the brand launched BB Kids, a high-value mattress designed for kids, along with the CopperFlex collection, four price-conscious models that include CopperFlex memory foam.[11][12][13] In 2026, Brooklyn Bedding debuted the ThermoBalance collection, a high-end cooling range of mattresses that include foam infused with Phase Change Material (PCM).[14]
The brand also operates specialty brands RV Mattress, Titan, and Plank. Titan, a collection of mattresses designed for plus sized and big-and-tall and Plank, an ultra-firm flippable mattress, both launched in 2021.[15][16] Brooklyn Bedding introduced RVMattress.com in 2019, with a collection of beds made for RVs.[17]
Brooklyn Bedding's Titan Plus Core, Titan Plus Luxe, Titan Plus Elite, Plank Firm, and Plank Firm Luxe are endorsed by the American Chiropractic Association (ACA).[18]
Brooklyn Bedding's manufacturing facility is located in Phoenix, Arizona.[19] Each mattress purchased from Brooklyn Bedding comes with a 120-night trial, free shipping, and a limited lifetime warranty.[20]
