| This draft may meet Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion because it serves only to promote or publicise an entity, person, product, or idea, and would require a fundamental rewrite in order to become encyclopedic. However, the mere fact that a company, organization, or product is a page's subject does not, on its own, qualify that page for deletion under this criterion. This criterion also does not apply where substantial encyclopedic content would remain after removing the promotional material as deletion is not cleanup; in this case please remove the promotional material yourself, or add the {{advert}} tag to alert others to do so. See CSD G11.
If this draft does not meet the criteria for speedy deletion, or you intend to fix it, please remove this notice, but do not remove this notice from pages that you have created yourself. Brick & Bolt (also styled Brick&Bolt or Brick N Bolt) is an Indian construction technology company headquartered in Bengaluru. It is operated by Pluckwalk Technologies Private Limited.[2] It was founded in January 2018 by Jayesh Rajpurohit and his nephew Arpit Rajpurohit.[3] The company manages residential and commercial building projects. Instead of building them itself, it coordinates independent contractors and handles planning, quality inspection and payments.[3]
History
[edit]Jayesh Rajpurohit studied civil engineering at IIT Roorkee, and Arpit Rajpurohit studied computer science.[3] The founders said the idea came from problems their own families had faced when building homes.[4] The company started with about ₹25 lakh (US$26,000) in seed capital from one of Jayesh's IIT batchmates, and a team of five.[3]
In February 2020, Brick & Bolt raised US$1.5 million through Sequoia Capital India's Surge programme.[5] It later raised US$2.2 million from the German venture capital firm Foundamental. Angel investors included Livspace co-founders Anuj Srivastava and Ramakant Sharma.[3] By September 2021, the company was operating in Bengaluru, Mysuru and Hyderabad. It had delivered 320 homes, had more than 250 under construction, and had grown to about 130 employees.[3]
In January 2023, Brick & Bolt raised US$10 million in a Series A round co-led by Accel and Celesta Capital. HDFC Capital Advisors, Stride Ventures and existing investors also took part, bringing its total funding to about US$16 million.[6][7] The company said it would use the money to improve its technology, strengthen its leadership team and expand to more cities.[6]
In March 2025, Brick & Bolt raised ₹16.6 crore (US$1.7 million) from Foundamental in a pre-Series B round. The round valued the company at about ₹891 crore (US$93 million), nearly three times its Series A valuation.[1] In the 2023–24 financial year, its operating revenue grew 81% to ₹42.25 crore (US$4.4 million), and its losses fell 10% to ₹31 crore (US$3.2 million).[1] By then it was operating in Bengaluru, Mysuru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Delhi NCR and Pune.[1]
In November 2025, the company announced changes to its senior leadership team.[8]
Business model
[edit]Brick & Bolt does not carry out construction itself. It assigns projects to independent contractors, supervises their work and earns a commission from them.[3] In 2021, Forbes India reported that the company carried out 310 quality checks per floor.[3]
Technology
[edit]Customers use a mobile app to track project progress, milestones and payments. Forbes India reported in 2021 that the company used AI-based monitoring to track work.[3] The company uses building information modeling (BIM) and workflow automation tools, and in 2023 it said it ran more than 16 in-house applications, including one that predicts when materials will be delivered.[6]
