The company provides cloud-based software for organizing in-person, virtual, and hybrid events, including tools for event registration, ticketing, event websites, and attendee engagement.[1][2]

History

[edit]

Bizzabo was founded in 2011 by Eran Ben-Shushan, Boaz Katz, and Alon Alroy.[1][2][3] According to TechCrunch, the company originally launched in 2012 as a networking app for conference attendees before pivoting in 2015 toward a broader event management and customer relationship management platform for organizers.[4]

The company raised a Series A funding round of $6.5 million, bringing its total funding at the time to $14.5 million, with investors including Magma Venture Capital, LionBird, and Avigdor Willenz.[4] In December 2020, Bizzabo raised a Series E round of $138 million.[5] As of 2026, the company has raised approximately $193–226 million in total funding across multiple rounds from investors including Insight Partners.[6][7]

In November 2021, Bizzabo acquired Klik, a Montreal-based company specializing in wearable event technology.[7]
