[edit]Arrow Bank® National Association, commonly known as Arrow Bank, is headquartered in Glens Falls, New York. It is the principal banking subsidiary of Arrow Financial Corporation, a publicly traded banking holding company (NasdaqGS® – AROW).
Arrow Bank provides consumer and commercial banking services, including checking and savings accounts, residential and commercial lending, business banking and wealth management services. Following Arrow’s acquisition of Adirondack Bancorp, Inc. in 2026, the bank’s branch network expanded into additional markets in northeastern and central New York.[1][2][3]
Upstate Agency, LLC, an insurance agency subsidiary of Arrow Bank, provides personal and commercial insurance and employee benefits.
History
[edit]Arrow Bank traces its origins to 1851, when Glens Falls Bank was established in Glens Falls, New York.
- In 1932, the financial institution was renamed Glens Falls National Bank and Trust Company.
- In 1951, the bank moved its headquarters to 250 Glen Street in Glens Falls.
- In 1983, Arrow Financial Corporation was formed as the bank’s holding company.
- In 1995, Saratoga National Bank and Trust Company was formed, expanding its banking operations into Saratoga County.
- In 2000, Arrow acquired an insurance agency, which later became part of Upstate Agency, LLC.
- In 2018, Arrow consolidated its insurance operations under the Upstate Agency name.
- In 2024, Glens Falls National Bank and Trust Company and Saratoga National Bank and Trust Company were unified under a single national bank charter and began operating as Arrow Bank National Association, with a network of 38 branches.[4][5][6][7][8][9][10][11]
- On July 1, 2026, Arrow Financial Corporation completed its acquisition of Adirondack Bancorp, Inc., the parent company of Adirondack Bank.[12][13][14][15][16] The transaction added approximately $1 billion in assets and 19 branch locations. The combined company has approximately $5.4 billion in total assets[17], $4.8 billion in total deposits and $4.1 billion in gross loans (based on financial information as of March 31, 2026). The acquisition expanded Arrow Bank’s presence into Oneida, Herkimer and Franklin counties while expanding its operations in Essex and Clinton counties.[18][19][20][21][22][23][24][25]
