Arcfra (Arcfra Pte. Ltd.) is a Singapore IT infrastructure company that sells software for data centers, edge locations, and multi-environments, specializing in full-stack hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) and software-defined data center solutions. This includes virtualization, software-defined storage for file and block, software-defined networking security, Kubernetes, backup and recovery, and management..[1]

Operations

[edit]

Arcfra was founded in May 2024 in Singapore[2]. The company was positioned to offer alternative on-premises cloud infrastructure as the global virtualization market undergoes significant transformation[3]. In less than a year, Arcfra drawed analyst and media attention in the hyper-converged infrastructure market.[4]

In 2024-2026, Arcfra expanded into other countries/regions in Asia-pacific. Outside Singapore, Arcfra operates mainly through partner ecosystem.

  • In late 2024, Arcfra expanded into South Korea[5] through strategic distribution partnerships.
  • In 2025, Arcfra established market presence in Indonesia[6] and Thailand[7] through local distributors.
  • In early 2026, Arcfra extended operations into Taiwan[8] and Japan[9].

Market Reception

[edit]

In March 2025, Arcfra was recognized by Gartner as a “Sample Vendor” in the A Guide to Choosing a VMware Alternative in the Wake of Broadcom Acquisition[10][4].

In April 2025, Arcfra was named by Gartner as a "Representative Vendor" in the Market Guide for Full-Stack Hyperconverged Infrastructure Software.[11][12]

Technology Partnership

[edit]

Arcfra joined CNCF as a silver member in 2025 [13]. The Arcfra Kubernetes Engine later became "Certified Kubernetes - Distribution" on CNCF Landscape[14].

Arcfra also launched joint VDI solution with Omnissa, claiming a 61% cost reduction compared with VMware vSAN solution [15]

Products

[edit]

The company's main product is Arcfra Enterprise Cloud Platform (AECP), a software-defined infrastructure stack that support both virtualized and containerized applications.

Arcfra's AECP is known to deliver high performance and high reliability, claiming IOPS that matches tier-1 all-flash storage arrays.[16]

Key product modules include:

  • Arcfra Cloud Operating System (ACOS): A hyperconverged software integrating compute and storage.
  • Arcfra Virtualization Engine (AVE): A KVM-based hypervisor optimized for high-density virtual machine environments.
  • Arcfra Block Storage (ABS) and Arcfra File Storage (AFS): Distributed storage layers that utilize a decentralized metadata management system to eliminate single points of failure.
  • Arcfra Kubernetes Engine (AKE): Native support for Kubernetes, allowing orchestrated container management alongside traditional virtual machines.
  • Arcfra Network Service (ANS): Software-defined networking and security component with features like distributed firewall, load balancer, and VPC networking.
  • Arcfra Backup & Disaster Recovery (ABDR): Natively provides backup, replication, and recovery.
  • Arcfra Operation Center (AOC): A single pane of glass cross-cluster management platform.

Additionally, the company released an open-source AI platform called Neutree to deliver model-as-a-service capability [17][18].
