Ankur Tripathi, also known by the pen name Vimukt, is an National Spokesperson, All India NPS Employees Federation (AINPSEF), Indian schoolteacher, writer and education activist from the state of Uttar Pradesh.
He serves in the Basic Education Department of the Government of Uttar Pradesh and has been associated with teacher and employee organisations working on issues related to education policy, teachers' service conditions and pension reforms.
Tripathi has participated in campaigns concerning the Old Pension Scheme (OPS), National Pension System (NPS), public education and teacher welfare. He has also written articles on education, governance and contemporary social issues and has published Hindi literary works under the pen name "Vimukt".
Early life and education
[edit]Tripathi was born on 26 July 1991 in Lakhimpur Kheri district of Uttar Pradesh, India.
He completed his higher education in science, obtaining Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) and Master of Science (M.Sc.) degrees. He subsequently completed teacher training through the Basic Training Certificate (BTC/D.El.Ed.) programme.
He later joined the Basic Education Department of the Government of Uttar Pradesh as an Assistant Teacher.
Student activities and science projects
[edit]During his college years, Tripathi participated in experimental science projects related to electricity generation.
He also participated in the INSPIRE Internship Programme and Science Conclave organised at the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad, under an initiative supported by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.
Regional newspapers reported on his student science activities during 2011–2012.
Teaching career
[edit]Tripathi serves as an Assistant Teacher in the Basic Education Department of the Government of Uttar Pradesh.
