Anant Goenka is an Indian businessman serving as Vice Chairman of the RPG Group, a diversified $5.2 billion conglomerate with interests spanning tyres, infrastructure, pharmaceuticals, IT, and specialty sectors.[1][2] He currently holds the position of President at the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry for the term 2025–26.[3]

Anant has been recognised by Forbes as the Next Generation Business Leader of the Year in 2017 and as India's 40 under 40 Business Leaders by Economic Times-Spencer Stuart.[4]

Early life and education

Goenka is the son of Harsh Goenka, chairman of RPG Group.[5]

He completed his Bachelor of Science in Economics at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He later pursued his MBA at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management, specializing in business strategy.[6][7][8]

Career

CEAT Leadership (2012–2023)

Goenka took charge of CEAT, RPG Group's tyre manufacturing company, as Deputy Managing Director in 2010 and became Managing Director and CEO in January 2012 at age 30.[9][10] He led the company's expansion into new product categories and international markets.[11]

RPG Group Vice Chairman (2023–Present)

In April 2023, Goenka transitioned from CEAT's MD & CEO role to become Vice Chairman of RPG Group, overseeing the conglomerate's broader strategic direction across its multiple business verticals including CEAT, Zensar Technologies, KEC International, and Phoenix Pharmaceuticals.[12][13][14][15][16][8]

FICCI Presidency

Goenka was named President-Elect of FICCI in October 2025, succeeding Harsha Vardhan Agarwal of Emami Limited.[17][18] He formally assumed the presidency in November 2025 at FICCI's 98th Annual General Meeting in New Delhi.[19][20]

Prior to his presidency, Goenka served as Senior Vice President of FICCI and chaired the Automotive Tyre Manufacturers Association (ATMA) in 2013.[21][22]
