ABD (Korean: 에이비디), an acronym for "A Bold Dream" (담대한 꿈), is a South Korean record label under HYBE specializing in girl-group production. The label was founded on March 4, 2026, and publicly unveiled by HYBE on May 8, 2026.[1] ABD's first act, the girl group Tuide, debuted on August 24, 2026.[2]
History
[edit]ABD was registered as an independent label under HYBE on March 4, 2026.[1] HYBE formally announced the label on May 8, 2026, describing it as dedicated to girl-group production and characterizing its creative approach as embracing unconventional ideas intended to move past existing K-pop conventions.[3][4]
The label's name plays on the sequence A-B-C, with ABD positioning its choice of an unexpected "D" over the conventional "C" as a signal of its unconventional creative philosophy.[5]
First act: Tuide
[edit]On July 20, 2026, ABD revealed the name and logo of its debut girl group, Tuide (튜이드), alongside a stop-motion teaser.[2] The name derives from the phrase "Tune the Tide," reflecting a concept of members blending individual styles into a shared sound. The seven announced members are Seohee, Seoyeon, Elena, Jia, Saki, Seah, and Yi Hani.[2]
Tuide debuted on August 24, 2026, with the extended play Tune & Play.[2]
Headquarters
[edit]ABD Co., Ltd. is headquartered at 42 Hangang-daero, Yongsan-gu, Seoul.[5]
Other labels under Hybe Entertainment
[edit]ABD joins HYBE's other subsidiary labels, including BigHit Music, Belift Lab, Source Music, Pledis Entertainment, KOZ Entertainment, and Ador, operating under HYBE's multi-label strategy.
