100 Sutton Studios is a production studio and campus located at 100 Sutton Street in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, New York City. The facility occupies 15,000 square feet and includes six pre-lit cyclorama studios, an LED volume stage for virtual production, a 70-seat screening theater, production offices, and event space. It was founded by Spanish filmmaker Brais Revalderia.[1][2]
History
[edit]Brais Revalderia, a filmmaker originally from Lugo, Galicia, established 100 Sutton Studios after relocating to New York City. The studio grew out of Revalderia's background in cinematography, branded entertainment, and experiential production — work that had included campaigns for HBO such as SXSWestworld (2018) and Game of Thrones: Bleed for the Throne (2019).[1] El Mundo profiled the studio in March 2024, describing it as a significant audiovisual production facility on the American east coast.[1] El Progreso later described it as a reference in the audiovisual sector on the east coast of the United States.[3]
The facility has hosted editorial shoots for publications including Vogue and Harper's Bazaar, along with music videos and advertising campaigns.[1][4] The studio also serves as an event venue and has hosted electronic music events, including performances programmed by Berlin-based Tresor.[5]
Facilities
[edit]The campus spans 15,000 square feet across several interconnected spaces. Six pre-lit cyclorama studios serve photography, film, and video production. An LED volume stage provides virtual production capabilities using real-time background projection. The 70-seat screening theater is used for client reviews, premieres, and private events. Additional spaces include production offices and a venue area with a capacity of approximately 350 people for events.[1][2]
Productions
[edit]Beyond operating as a rental facility, 100 Sutton Studios functions as a production company. It was one of the producing entities behind Fillos do Vento: A RAPA, a 28-minute immersive documentary directed by Revalderia about the Rapa das Bestas tradition in Galicia. That film was selected for the Cannes Film Festival's Competition Immersive in 2025 — the only Spanish project in the competition — and won the People's Voice Webby Award for Best Immersive Story at the 30th Annual Webby Awards in 2026.[6][7] The production was covered by Telecinco,[8] COPE,[9] and Screen Daily.[10]
