Reception
[edit]Writing for Koimoi, the reviewer praised Bhojani's performance and Shah's construction of the central character, while finding the second half weakened by melodrama.[3] Subhash K. Jha considered the film an old-fashioned melodrama that was lifted above its material by Bhojani's lead performance, though he noted that parts of the narrative lost momentum.[6]
