‘’‘Devashappath’’’ (Marathi: ‘’‘देवाशप्पथ’’’) was an Indian Marathi-language television drama series that aired on Zee Yuva. The series was directed by Chandrakant Gaikwad and starred Sankarshan Karhade, Kaumudi Walokar, Kshitish Date, Amruta Deshmukh, Swanand Barve and Vishwanath Kulkarni.
The series was based around the relationship between Shlok, an atheist, and Krish, a human incarnation of God who attempts to prove God’s existence to him.
Plot
[edit]The series follows Shlok, who does not believe in the existence of God. Krish, who appears on Earth in human form, attempts to convince Shlok that God exists.
The story focuses on the interactions between the two characters and their contrasting views on faith, belief and the existence of God.

Production
[edit]‘‘Devashappath’’ was produced as a Marathi-language television drama for Zee Yuva. Chandrakant Gaikwad is credited as the director of the series.
The series explored themes of faith and belief through the central conflict between an atheist character and a character presented as God in human form.
In 2018, ‘‘Loksatta’’ included ‘‘Devashappath’’ among Zee Yuva programmes featuring male-centred narratives while discussing the channel’s programming at the time.[1]
Broadcast and ending
[edit]‘‘Devashappath’’ premiered on 20 November 2017 on Zee Yuva. The series concluded in September 2018.
On 26 September 2018, ‘‘The Times of India’’ reported that ‘‘Devashappath’’ was going off air. The report stated that the actors had recently shot the final episode and that Sankarshan Karhade had shared a photograph of the team from the last day of shooting.[2]
The series ended on 29 September 2018.
