The Commons Act 1236^[a] (20 Hen. 3. c. 4) was an act of the Parliament of England. It was chapter 4 of the Statute of Merton (20 Hen. 3).

Subsequent developments

The whole act was repealed for Northern Ireland by section 1(1) of, and the first schedule to, the Statute Law Revision Act 1950 (14 Geo. 6. c. 6), which came into force on 23 May 1950.^[1]

The whole act was repealed by section 1 of, and the first schedule to, the Statute Law Revision Act 1953 (2 & 3 Eliz. 2. c. 5), which came into force on 18 December 1953.^[2]
