Col Bayard (1,246 m) is a mountain pass through the Dauphiné Alps in the department of Hautes-Alpes in France.
It connects the communities of La Mure and Gap.
Tour de France
[edit]Col Bayard was first used in the Tour de France in 1954 as a category 3 climb, when the leader over the summit was Federico Bahamontes. Overall, the Tour has passed the summit on five occasions, usually as a category 2 climb, including on Stage 19 of the 2026 Tour.[1]
