Chris Minnick is an American author, computer programmer, technical trainer, and educator best known for writing and co-authoring numerous technology books in the For Dummies series. His work focuses primarily on web development, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, artificial intelligence, and beginner-friendly programming education. He has also produced online programming courses and written fiction.[1]
Career
[edit]Minnick has authored or co-authored more than 20 books on programming, web development, and emerging technologies. He is particularly recognized for making complex technical topics accessible to beginners through the For Dummies series. His books have covered subjects including JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, coding fundamentals, Mastodon, Microsoft Copilot, and artificial intelligence.[1]
In addition to writing books, Minnick has created video training courses for educational platforms including Pluralsight, O'Reilly, Ed2Go, and Skillshare. He has also worked as a software developer and technical trainer, teaching programming and machine learning to professional developers and enterprise clients.[1] He has also spoken at a conference "AI User Interfaces - Chris Minnick @ WeAreDevelopers Conference 2017"[2]

Before becoming a full-time technical author and trainer, he worked in editorial, circulation, and online publishing roles for newspapers and magazines in Ann Arbor, Detroit, and San Francisco.[1]
