This category contains pages in the template namespace. It should not be used to categorize articles or pages in other namespaces.

To add a template to this category:

• If the template has a separate documentation page (usually called "Template:template name/doc"), add
•  [[Category:Wikitext processing templates]]
• to the <includeonly> section at the bottom of that page. Otherwise, add
•  <noinclude>[[Category:Wikitext processing templates]]</noinclude>
• to the end of the template code, making sure it starts on the same line as the code's last character.

This category contains templates, which accept or produce uninterpreted wikitext (i.e. without templates expanded). This is in contrast to the standard use of templates: When the wikitext {{outer|{{inner}}}} is interpreted, the inner template is expanded first and the result is fed as a parameter to the outer template. On the other hand, wikitext-accepting templates decide on their own how to interpret it. Typical members of this category are some template test case and documentation assistance templates.
