This category is used to track {{Language with name/for}} template errors. This category is used only by Module:Language with name/for.

Error messages

Module:Language with name/for consolidates the processing of {{Language with name/for}}. As part of that, the module emits error messages when the template parameters are used inappropriately or when the data assigned to the parameters is malformed. The error messages are:

  • missing language tag or language name – this template requires one of positional parameter 1 ({{{1}}}) or |lang-name=. To resolve this error, provide an appropriate language tag in {{{1}}} or an appropriate language name in |lang-name=. See template documentation for specific requirements for these parameters.
  • only one of {{{1}}} and |lang-name= allowed – because a template with both of positional parameter 1 ({{{1}}}) and |lang-name= may be conflicting, only one of these is allowed; use the most appropriate. See template documentation for specific requirements for these parameters.
  • missing English translation – an English-language translation in {{{3}}} or |term1= of the non-English text is required. To resolve this error, provide an appropriate translation.
