In April 2005, Saudi authorities launched a series of raids in Ar Rass that killed 15 alleged militants, and captured 7 others. More than fifty Saudi security forces were injured in the gunbattles.[1]
Among those said to be killed, were the following men;

- His 11-year-old son Adam[5]
- Saud Humud al-Utaibi[2][3]
- Abdul-Karim Muhammed Jubran Yazji[2]
- Hani ibn Abdullah Al-Joaithen[6]
- Faisal ibn Muhammad Al-Baidhani[6]
- Majed ibn Muhammad Al-Masoud[6]
- Fawaz Mufdhi Al-Anazi[6]
- Abdul Rahman ibn Abdullah Al-Jarboue[6]
- Nawaf ibn Naif Al-Hafi[6]
- Abdussalam ibn Suleiman Al-Khudairy[6]
- Talib Saud Al-Talib
- Houcine Haski
- Younes Khiari
