Naming convention
[edit]Shouldn't this game be referred to in-article as UNBEATABLE/unbeatable instead of Unbeatable, or does Wikipedia not comply with preset naming conventions? (Genuine question, I'm still somewhat new here!) I've edited it in-article to comply with the naming convention, but feel free to revert if I'm doing a bad. Gato1260 (talk) 12:59, 2 March 2026 (UTC)
- Indeed it should! I am changing that where I can, it looks like they wish to mantain uniformity over correct and factual information, the only stuff I cant correct is the title and title in the gamecard, if you know how to do please change it DrakonPPS (talk) 00:13, 3 June 2026 (UTC)
- Wikipedia does not comply with present naming conventions. (Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Trademarks). The only exception is if sources all agree on a non-standard convention (eBay, iPad), and I'm sad to report that the majority of sources are using Unbeatable, not UNBEATABLE or unbeatable, so we have to follow the standards. --PresN 00:16, 3 June 2026 (UTC)
- NOOOOOOoOooOo.... this made me sad, so much time wasted, deleted in seconds DrakonPPS (talk) 00:21, 3 June 2026 (UTC)
- Sorry, I got a reply in a revert comment about this, but never actually mentioned it here; yeah, stick to title case despite the stylisation request in-game. Gato1260 (talk) 09:04, 3 June 2026 (UTC)

Need more information on the music
[edit]This game’s primary focus is music. Who wrote the music? Who did the vocals? What inspired them to create such an integrated project? That’s what I’m looking for. ~2026-13604-94 (talk) 21:50, 2 March 2026 (UTC)
- I agree that the article doesn't mention its soundtrack, or much of the game's development process, . I'll try and compile some stuff and edit it to reflect in the future, maybe a table of the songs the game features and who made them & preforms in them. Gato1260 (talk) 00:22, 3 March 2026 (UTC)
- The vast majority of the music was made in house or by the band Peak Divide with one song for the delux edition was made by Jamie Paige. The DLC, which is planned to come out in the next few months, is going to be made by primarily Jamie Paige. ~2026-24973-50 (talk) 12:16, 24 April 2026 (UTC)
- According to their bandcamp page the D-cell music team is:
- - Rachel Lake - vocals, production, arrangement
- - RJ Lake - music direction, production, composition
- - Clara Maddux - composition, arrangement, lead performer
- - Vasily Nikolaev - composition, arrangement, mastering
- - album art by Andrew Tsai ~2026-44012-33 (talk) 13:27, 11 August 2026 (UTC)

This is my first crack at an article review. I hope I did everything right.
Well-written
[edit]- Lead, para. 2, "The music for the game was...": "the game" is redundant and can be deleted.
- Done
- Plot, para. 1, "Clef and Treble, former pop stars and repeat music offenders, for the incident": There's too many commas in this sentence, replace these two with dashes.
- Done
- Plot, para. 4, "formed a miasma": unnecessarily obscure word. Also, the definition of it doesn't make it clear that people were trapped in there, which makes the next sentence a little confusing.
- Done
- Lead sentence: note b reads a tad clunky to me. Like, yes, the authors of a work have declared how the title should be stylized. Who else would? Replace it with the citation.
Verifiable
[edit]Spotchecked Special:Permalink/1357044095:
- [1] couldn't verify "select a song out of a list"
- Added in the Rock Paper Shotgun cite to that sentence, re: "the real meat of Unbeatable can be found in Arcade mode, which presents a huge list of songs, split into four categories"
- Plot, para. 2, "attendees frequently ignore or insult Beat": I've played the game myself and I'm not sure what you're talking about here.
- Dropped; in my playthrough after the first underground show of that chapter, the audience said Beat wasn't as good as the rest of the band, and then on the street later on I ran into a pedestrian who recognized her but repeatedly forgot her name, and another that told their friend that she was that girl in the band with Quaver. Maybe the first only happens if you fail that song? I don't recall if I messed up there. It's not a big note either way.
- Note a: [citation needed]
- Added
- [6] good
- [5] "The developers intended..." good
- [15] good
- [2][3] good
- [1][3] good
Illustrated
[edit]- Given the number of reviews that emphasize the clear delineation between arcade and story mode, I think a gameplay photo of story mode could maybe be justified. If you disagree that it meets NFCC 8 I won't fight you on it.
- No, I agree it can be justified in this case, added one
Outside GACR
[edit]- UNBEATABLE [white label], ALBUM, and unbeatable [ost] are all stylizations that should be converted to title case.
- Done, same for Demo tapes
- Note a: link Lena Raine
- Done
- Plot, para. 4, "Eve was murdered in the middle of a song": I think "by a Silence" is an important bit to put here.
- Not done- this isn't clear from the scene, especially with the imagery of someone raising a gun. You don't actually see a Silence, you see from Quaver's point of view a silhouette-with-x shape that is used in Beat's dreams to represent the memory of a person as Eve walks back from the edge of the stage, then you see someone making a finger-gun shape, then a hand holding a gun. It's possible that a Silence appeared and a security guard tried to shoot it (I've seen that theory), but given that Sforzando tells Beat that bullets hit Silence because people expect them to, and that Silence are a metaphor for grief/trauma, it doesn't make much sense (to me) that one would appear before Eve dies in front of the crowd or that the bullet would pass through a Silence and hit her. And in any case, we don't see a Silence attacking her.
- Huh. You're right, I totally misinterpreted what the black X people are. Snowmanonahoe (talk · contribs · typos) 13:44, 1 June 2026 (UTC)

- @PresN: I'm not going to revert the pass over this, but I just realized you missed a bullet I added in the well-written section: "Lead sentence: note b reads a tad clunky to me. – For about a year now, the video game has been getting drastically more views than any other "Unbeatable", and none of them have outsized longterm significance. There is a solid argument that the game is primary topic for the word without it just being recentism. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 18:13, 8 August 2026 (UTC)

Isekai?
[edit]It seems there is some uncertainty about whether the game is an isekai, but I personally think the plot summary makes very little sense when that is omitted, simply showing a disjointed and random sequence of events. The game never outright admits that it is one, but it is difficult to interpret it in a way that it is not. Some level of consensus common sense is in order, even if it's to say that the isekai/Earth aspect is hinted at and not confirmed. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 14:55, 9 August 2026 (UTC)
- On the contrary, the online consensus is pretty split between isekai and the game being a coma dream. More importantly, the game does not say either way, and is often a series of disjoint events (chapter 2 slam-opens with "we should free these people who were introduced 5 seconds ago" followed by Beat/Quaver in prison, for example, while the final chapter opens with Beat back under the tree with no explanation given for why she's there when we last saw her at the bottom of HARM tower or how long it's been), and it's not until the last chapter of the game that Beatrice shows up at all, and not until the very end of the game, literally the final minutes, that there's confirmation that Beatrice's scenes were flashbacks for Beat, not a dream that Beat is having or a parallel life. I think explicitly stating that the game world is an isekai/parallel world is overstating things. --PresN 15:21, 9 August 2026 (UTC)
- 1. I don't think it negates the idea of it being an isekai if it is a dream. The "other world" would simply be the dreamworld created by Beatrice's subconscious. Either way, she must undergo trials to leave that world. It could be stated that it is either a parallel world or coma dream, making it more clear to the reader that while it is uncertain, it is almost definitely one of those things.
- 2. Even if that information is only confirmed at the end of the game, it's still fair game to state earlier in the plot summary. It's not required to be in perfect chronological order of what players will know at any given moment, only to explain to the lay person what is going on in a non-disjointed way. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 15:35, 9 August 2026 (UTC)
- On the contrary, consensus on the official Discord server for D-Cell is that the main part of the game does take place in a different world. ~2026-44012-33 (talk) 13:35, 11 August 2026 (UTC)
