AI

[edit]

I have tagged this article as AI-generated, specifically regarding this 2025 addition, which may be AI-revised. Upon spot-check main issue is subtle promotional tone throughout and classifying non-emphasized asides as "highlighted" etc.) There may be other source-text-integrity issues. @Gnomingstuff I WILL BE DAMNED. hi I’m the editor who wrote this article. I admit my writing is not the best and can always be improved wherever, but I can assure you no AI was used in the writing this article. Please see my edit history on sandbox 3 for a live replay of editorial schizophrenia and breakdown of my edits, starting here on June 9, 2025. I did take a break to work on another planned article (still unfinished) and resumed in july; first published version arrived at end of month. (I am a messy editor, sorry lol). also I usually work on things in sandbox before copying/pasting in their entirities. when did this become an ai hallmark???
Anyways… I did submit this to GOCE back in December 2025 and not much was changed: prior to that I agonised daily over writing, which is why I went back and redid it later on, esp. in November 2025. If you do have any writing advice I.e. how I should do things, pls do tell!! Or change things yourself; I would like to feel less alone writing stuff yk?? I get stuck often. // Chchcheckit (talk) 01:34, 13 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
(Should was supposed to be italics not scare quotes but mobile sucks) // Chchcheckit (talk) 11:22, 13 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
alrrr after waking up and processing what y've said (i unfortunately tend to react first regret later): idk how to rephrase some of the "highlighted" info. i think maybe things like the DIY Alfie Bryne stuff could be redone (i.e. about vocals, and reception) (fixed; Chchcheckit (talk) 13:51, 26 March 2026 (UTC)) and the composition parts of "Black Dress" (also fixed: Chchcheckit (talk) 14:19, 26 March 2026 (UTC)) can be redone but idk about elsewhere, such as stuff about music/lyrics juxtaposition. ig the tragedy of the nuance is not avoidable in trying not to be repetitious in describing things and research/writing with that "utility derived" mindset. ig the either way i would apprecitate an example regarding "subtle promotional tone throughout" so i can know what to look out for? ty // Chchcheckit (talk) 13:13, 13 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
Are you using tools such as Grammarly, Quillbot, the grammar features in Microsoft Word, etc. in your writing? That would explain this. Gnomingstuff (talk) 20:35, 18 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
i don't use any tools at all when writing. my process is simply "brute force"/spending many hours doing trial and error because i want to push myself and become better at writing. which obviously has its problems (spending months/days/nights writing for the sake of completionism, resulting tiredness and feeling like i need to finish this soon, not knowing whether something is truly "finished" etc etc; this extends beyond wikipedia) but its kinda the only way i seem to get stuff done. when i've rushed things and tried to get things into a "completable state" the errors usually seep in i guess. // Chchcheckit (talk) 12:16, 24 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
at the time of writing this article (and others) in 2025 wikipedia felt like the only thing i could "do well"/finish (very very long story; we're in a better place now) so trying to complete things was more important in life bc of isolation/resultant tunnel vision. when you do very few things in a day, the few things take on stupid levels of significance that no one else feels/sees and i am aware of how stupid it all is now (not to be confushed with disillusionment; i still enjoy writing). as life became increasing difficult the motivation for completing writing of articles became less about interest towards the subject and more about fighting the actual process/"proving myself" (Facepalm Facepalm ) and not having enough time to self-reflect. hence why weeks/months later i realised "oh fuck i did a bad job" and kept redoing it. // Chchcheckit (talk) 12:27, 24 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Gnomingstuff alr i have reworked the prose somewhat + added a bit of new stuff. have I resolved your concerns? // Chchcheckit (talk) 13:03, 28 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
