In the Indo-Aryan language family section of the Language Families section change "or over 76.5 of the population" to "or over 76.5% of the population" Tequa9706 (talk) 10:13, 25 September 2025 (UTC)
Done thanks for noticing that. Slomo666 (talk) 11:15, 25 September 2025 (UTC)
Restructuring the sections
[edit]just wanted to streamline the page content into logical & self contained sections. some suggestions:
1. the section Classical languages of India & Practical problems should come as subheadings under Official languages section, since Scheduled languages is already there. 2. the content for Hindi under Official languages should be swapped with the content under Hindi for Prominent Languages of India, because the context of the text is descriptive of the language, not the status of Hindi in India. Add the language Saurashtra in the list of languages. It is spoken by the people of the south and it is a dialect. JanaviTS (talk) 07:16, 10 May 2026 (UTC)
Not done. There is no list of languages here; it's a broad overview of the general topic. –Deacon Vorbis (carbon • videos) 15:24, 10 May 2026 (UTC)
