Q: Why is Kermit Gosnell referred to as a serial killer?
A: A serial killer is anyone who has killed two or more people in separate events.[1][2] Kermit Gosnell was charged for more than seven counts of murder and hundreds of abortion-related crimes. He was convicted for the first-degree murder of three infants and the third-degree murder of a woman. The intact bodies of 47 illegally aborted late-term human fetuses/babies were discovered by police stored around Gosnell's clinic.[3] Gosnell is referred to as a serial killer and/or murderer in numerous sources.[4][5][6][7]
Q: Why does the victim field in the infobox state "4 to possibly hundreds"?
A: The previous figure of 48+ reflected the 47 sets of fetal and infant remains recovered during the 2010 raid, plus the adult patient who died under Gosnell’s care. However, not all of those remains were legally determined to be homicide victims attributed to Gosnell. Gosnell was formally convicted of four murders, which establishes the confirmed minimum. A Pennsylvania grand jury report also stated that staff described “hundreds” of similar cases, though most could not be prosecuted due to missing or destroyed records. To align with sourcing and Wikipedia’s biography policies, the infobox now reflects the range of documented information using the format: “4 to possibly hundreds.”

Change Kermit Gosnell’s death date to March 23rd 2026 please. I’m his son who currently lives in Philadelphia. Also his wife Pearl Gosnell died on January 21,2019 at HUP in Philadelphia PA. If you look it up her death certificate should say around 11:39am. She had an aneurysm at the hospital around 11:30pm the night before and she was in a vegetative state until she flatlined the next day. "A primary source may be used on Wikipedia only to make straightforward, descriptive statements of facts that can be verified by any educated person with access to the primary source but without further, specialized knowledge." WP:PRIMARY
The Grand Jury Report does just that. Nevertheless, I am adding secondary sources to the section as well. However, the fact that the Grand Jury Report is a primary source does not mean you remove the entire section because of it. Primary sources are not banned on Wikipedia, you are supposed to use them with caution instead. DocZach (talk) 04:41, 10 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

You're misunderstanding my objection. Just because we can verify information does not mean we should have a massive section in an article dedicated to summarizing that information per the NPOV sections I cited above as well as WP:SS.
