I saw the show and it looks like the abracadabra of a few charletans. Is there no notable citable scepticism about this "language"? Am I alone in this?Chrisrus (talk) 07:31, 31 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Don't take it from me, research it for yourself!

[edit]

Please watch the show about this "language" linked to in the article. After doing so, it is my prediction that it will become very obvious to you that this is nothing more than a bunch of witchdoctors pretending to have a secret magic language.

This is not a real language.

If, after watching it, this becomes your point of view as well, please suggest ways we could improve this article in light of these facts. Not only is there no real proof that this "language" exists, and that the evidence is instead consistant with it being a hoax perpetrated on the customers of a bunch of magic-word-chanting, llama-foetus-waving, magic potion salesmen. Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Kallawaya language. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

Family colors

[edit]

@Fdom5997: I switched the Kallawaya family colors to bring it more in line with other mixed languages like Michif and Media Lengua among others. Those pages both use the same family color as creoles and pidgins. Please state your resons for dictating against this, and for why you have not changed the colors on those pages, as for the sake of consistency those should have the same colors as this page. 🪐Kepler-1229b | talk | contribs🪐 02:03, 24 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

Honestly, I think that the colors should be changed on those pages too. Those languages (like Kallawaya) are also just “mixed languages” and not creoles or pidgins. I say definitely change those colors to for the sake of consistency. Fdom5997 (talk) 03:45, 24 April 2025 (UTC)Reply
If so, then WP:BEBOLD and modify the colors to whatever you wish. 🪐Kepler-1229b | talk | contribs🪐 04:14, 24 April 2025 (UTC)Reply
However, Kallawaya is certainly mixed, and the infobox should reflect that. Also, the parameter for family colors uses "mixed" as a synonym for "creole/pidgin". It is encoded into the system itself. 🪐Kepler-1229b | talk | contribs🪐 04:15, 24 April 2025 (UTC)Reply
