. It looks as if several other reviewers have looked over the draft and found parts of it unacceptable. If you have newer text that has not been reviewed, that you would like a reviewer to consider, please place that proposed text on this talk page. Regards, Spintendo 18:42, 20 June 2026 (UTC)

As per Spintendo's feedback, I would like to put forwards some additions to John's article focused on his career.
I propose creating a "Career" section consisting of two sub-sections:
- One about his time at the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation.
- Another on his current tenure at EXIM, including background into his appointment.
I also suggest a short "Personal life" section as seen on other BLP articles where there is notable publicity.

U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) In 2020, Jovanovic was appointed regional director for the Aegean & Western Balkans at the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC).[3] He was introduced as director of the DFC's first overseas office in Belgrade, Serbia, during its opening on September 22nd, 2020.[4] Jovanovic was involved in discussions regarding the construction of a new highway between Belgrade and Pristina as part of the Kosovo and Serbia economic normalization agreements.[5][6] After Joe Biden assumed the U.S. presidency in January 2021, it was reported and confirmed by Jovanovic in March 2021 that he was no longer Director of the DFC in Belgrade.[7][8] Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) On February 16, 2025, President Donald Trump announced via the social media platform Truth Social that he would be appointing Jovanovic to become the next Chairman and CEO of the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM).[9][10] On September 18 the US Senate voted on the appointment and confirmed Jovanovic as president and chairman, replacing former chair Reta Jo Lewis and interim chair Spencer Bachus.[11] He is the first Serbian-American to have held the role.[12] In November 2025, Jovanovic announced a series of deals involving projects in Egypt, Pakistan and Europe, focused on LNG and nuclear energy projects. Where it states He oversaw the opening of the DFC's first overseas office in Belgrade, Serbia, in September 2020. Jovanovic was also involved in the implementation of Trump's Washington Agreements on Economic Normalization between Kosovo and Serbia.
could you clarify what it means in particular by saying the subject oversaw and was involved? For example, the Belgrade office opening must have been given the initial green light and then undergone the planning/designing stages long before the subject was employed at the DFC in his position. So what exactly did he oversee, just the opening? I'm not sure that is a large enough deal to mention. In the case of the Washington Agreements on Economic Normalization, how exactly was he involved? When ready to proceed with the requested clarifications, kindly change the {{Edit COI}} template's answer parameter to read from |ans=y to |ans=n. Thank you! Spintendo 22:26, 10 July 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks Spintendo for reviewing and have carried out some changes.
- These are:
- Altering the sentence to state that John was introduced as director at the opening of the DFC office on September 22nd, 2020.
- Clarifying that Jovanovic was involved in discussions regarding the opening of a highway connecting Belgrade and Pristina as part of the normalization agreements.
- Let me know if you have any further feedback! Sarmalian (talk) 16:58, 13 July 2026 (UTC)
